Happy Halloween!

The boys had a great first Halloween! And so did we! We went to our friend's Halloween Party for a few hours while my mom stayed at our house and watched the boys. It was fun getting out, but I worried about them (and my mom) the whole time!

Here is a little slide show of our pumpkins!

Seven Pounders!

Well, we hit 7 lbs! I know, I know, most babies are born at least 7 pounds... but for my little guys this is great!

Hudson is losing his hair...he slightly resembles Benjamin Button. Hudson is very alert and likes to be held. ALL the time. We think his tummy really hurts him.

Luke is our little Mr. Man. He is very laid back and easy going. Hudson screams and Luke will just look at him with a serious face.

A little sneak peek at our day:

6:00 - 6:30 am Feed the babies, cross your fingers and say a prayer that they go back to sleep
8:00-8:30 am Feed the babies
8:30-10:00 am Awake time! Tummy time, or just play!
10:00-10:30 am Feed the babies
10:30-12:00 Nap
12:00-12:30 Feed the babies............. and so on and so on and so on........

On a good note, they go down around 10pm and don't wake up until around 2:30 am! The first night they did this, I woke up at 2, woke Brandon up and asked, "what do I do?" He said "what?" I said, " they are still sleeping!" He said, "Go back to sleep!!!"
(It was great!)

Here are 4 week pictures:

5 weeks!

Hudson-- Help he is eating me!

Luke-- Mom, I'm not big enough for this Bumbo yet!

P-U-M-P-K-I-N-S!!!

Happy (Almost) Halloween!!

I love Halloween! It's up there next to Christmas and Valentine's Day. I love the weather, dressing up, and of course the CANDY!

The boys turned 3 weeks old last week, and we took them to the pumpkin patch at our church. (In theory this is a GREAT idea... in real life-- not so much!)
But here are some pictures from our Pumpkin Adventure!

"This is really fun!" - Hudson

"Really mom? Really?" -Luke

"Dad, I am trying to sleep." -Luke

"These pumpkins aren't very soft!" -Hudson

" Ohh--- look at me!! " -Hudson

"Are we done yet?" -Luke
(I think they are really enjoying this photo shoot!)

And we are done!

And I leave you with bath time... always a great way to quiet them down!

An Eventful Weekend to say the least

Well I am back on the blog! Brandon will be making guest appearances from time to time!!

This past Friday we had a really scary day. Hudson woke up with his eye gooey, and swollen. So like any new parents, we called the pediatrician and got the first appointment to get him checked out. Also being naive, we thought the doctor would give us some eye drops and send us on our way. Well, that was not the case. Friday afternoon we were admitted to St. Luke's Pediatric ER to have some tests run to find out what kind of infection was causing Hudson's eye to swell. After countless of tests and procedures run on him, we were told we would have to spend the night until all the cultures came back. So, Brandon, Luke, Hudson, and I were back in the hospital... just a different one. Brandon and I were truly tested as parents. I can't even begin to explain how much you hurt when you see your child hurting.

To make this long story short. All test results came back negative, and the infection did not spread to other parts of his body. They don't know and probably will never know what he had or how he got it. We were finally sent home on Monday with two kinds of eye drops! Hudson is so strong and he is doing great. Looks completely 100% better. Luke never got the eye infection and was happy to be able to sleep with his little brother again last night.

I want to apologize for not telling our friends and even some of our family. I am sorry if you heard it from someone else and not us. We didn't want to alarm everyone without knowing what was going on. Brandon and I know how much everyone loves us and our little boys and we wanted to keep this nightmare to ourselves until we knew more information.

On a totally random note; Erin Golan from Erin Golan Photography came out to the house today. The boys were so well behaved!! Well, minus the part where they had projectile poop on the props!! I can't wait to share these pictures with everyone!!!

Things are going really great! I'll post pictures when I have more time!

One Week Old and more...!!!

Well it's been a while since I've updated the blog and I've been getting rave reviews from my first two blogs I've ever posted so I will finish up my duty with one more.

Luke and Hudson are already one week old. We came home on Sunday afternoon and it's been a crazy house ever since. Before we came home we gave the boys a bath just in case the ladies were lurking on the way out. They didn't really enjoy the body cleaning, but they were in heaven when we started washing their hair. They were feeling so relaxed.

Check out these lady killers...

Then we were ready to leave the hospital and take them to their new home and they told me they will never break anything or make a mess, at least that's what they promised me. As you can see the car seats are just a little too big for them at this point, but it won't be long before these guys are nice and snug in there.

Since we've been home we've had tons and tons of visitors. And with those visitors comes lots of food as well. Ever since the boys have been born I think I've been putting on the pounds while Suzie is getting back to her old self. All we want to do all day is either hold Luke and Hudson or just watch them do nothing. I mean who wouldn't want to just stare at these two.

During the day we always wonder what to do besides just sit here, so we started taking out toys/swings for them to sit in. After our Dr. visit yesterday he suggested we start doing some tummy time also. This was just hilarious. They were pretty much scooting in place and I'm not sure but I think Hudson was trying to do push-ups.

We also decided to take out our new stroller we finally got. As a lot of people know, I did some extensive research to find the perfect stroller. Well we finally got it in last Tuesday before the babies were born. I was so excited to put it together I could barely concentrate in class that night. Well here is the beauty, and also the boys:

And then there's Bailey....well Bailey really wants nothing to do with Luke or Hudson. We put them up to her for her to check them out and she just runs away and hides. She isn't quite sure what to think. And she still thinks the diaper changing station is still her napping bed. When we kick her off to change a diaper she just stares at us like "don't do that again".

Lastly, my brother Scott came home for Fall Break at LSU last night and it was his first time to see Luke and Hudson. A picture with Uncle Scott, Luke, and Hudson was just too priceless not to post. My blogging time has come to an end. Sadly I have to go back to work next week, but Suzie will continue this crazy journey.
