Brushing our Teeth!

This is the way we brush our teeth,
brush our teeth, brush our teeth.
This is the way we brush our teeth
so early in the morning.
I went to Target yesterday and picked up some toothbrushes and training toothpaste. I have taught too many kids with silver caps on their teeth at 5 years old. So today we started brushing our teeth!

Luke liked it, but he wanted to do it himself and not let me help.
Hudson loved it!
However, he has no teeth.
Oh well, brush those gums!
This is fun!
Unfortunately for our children, I sing everything. I don't sing well. I reserve all my singing for children under the age of 6.
My point... I have a great repertoire of songs that have to do with learning how to do something. Gotta love having an Early Childhood Education Degree!
Here is my favorite brush your teeth song if you need one:

(to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star")
Here's my toothpaste
Here's my brush
I won't hurry, I won't rush.
Working hard to keep teeth clean
Front and back and in between
When I brush for quite a while
I will have a happy smile.

And now that I have all the toys locked in the playroom, the boys find other stuff to get into while hanging out with me in the kitchen!
You should have seen how delicately Hudson got inside that middle part!

  1. Hudson loves those tiny places. [must be a throwback to Luke hogging all the space in your belly.

    Miss my boys.

  2. I suspect that brushing has little to do with it. High-carb diets, processed foods, and eating between meals (what cash-sucking obesity-promoting marketer invented this snack concept, anyway? I grew up quite nicely with no snacks in early childhood) promote the growth of caries bacteria. Knock wood, but Cayley has not yet had a cavity in either her first or second teeth, and she'll be 12 this month.
