Wine Country Getaway!!

Before you start thinking that I must have had the most horrid time, I absolutely loved it! I felt great every morning, drank enough water to keep this baby happy, and found some of the most delicious bread and cheese around.  It also helps that every winery is the most beautiful place to visit and just relax.

Cliff Notes of MUST DO:
Caldwell Vineyard Cave Tasting: with the owner himself, you taste approx. 7-9 wines, and get a really nice spread of cheese, meat, crackers, and pistachios. Tasting is pricy at $40 or $45, but it last 2 hours and will not disappoint.

Farmstead in Napa. Beautiful grounds, amazing food, and $5 corkage fee, so bring your own bottles to dinner!

Domaine Carneros for a change up from all the wine. They have a beautiful patio where you can sip champagne and eat cheese! Not to mention a wide selection of 'non alcholic' soda.

And for a flithy brunch or lunch, check out The Freemont Diner. Delicious bad for you goodness.

And if you area in the are check out Scribe  But wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to check it out just yet. Here is a fun write up about it.

And I'm sorry if you got annoyed with the #napasnappa2013 on Instagram!

Back to the trip:

Our house was perfect for 3-4 couples. Located in Sonoma, but not too far from Napa.

Wednesday:
Gundlach Bundschu
Beautiful grounds, pond, cave, bottling on site, picnic area.

 Next up: Domaine Carneros
Champagne tastings, reasonable priced bottles to sit, drink and relax. Beautiful grounds.

Thursday:
I really liked this place, but they wouldn't let you sit outside unless you are a wine club member.

View from Cuvasion
Stunning views, great decor and vibe, just a really, really long tasting. And this preggo was over it after 1hour.

Next up: Scribe
If you find yourself in Sonoma on Napa Road, this place is a must! It has a mom and pop feel. Run by two brothers in their late thirties who I think are doing it right! I can't wait to go back in a few years and see the changes!
 Sarah on the rope swing!
 Katie on the tree swing!
Over 100 year old house on the property, they have plans of renovating it!

Supposedly, it is haunted. I didn't want to find out!
Friday!!!
LimoDay!
Second time back, always a good time. Relaxed atmosphere, fun people that work there, good Zin.

My drink of choice these days!
 Caldwell Vineyards
Meet John 'effing' Caldwell. Owner, wine taster, former shoe pimp. Repeat, you must go. Just go.

 Sullivan Vineyards
I think it could have been awesome, but it just plain sucked for lack of a better word. Bad wine host, bad atmosphere, okay wine.

Ended the day at Elizabeth Spencer
This is our wine club. The atmosphere there was not the same as last limo day for sure!! But good wine nonetheless.  We are however canceling our wine club here and joining Caldwell's!

Saturday we spent shopping around downtown Sonoma. Ended with dinner at Farmhouse! Simply perfect ending to the trip!

Oh.... and I hit 23 weeks on the trip.
I'm huge now!
