Family Vacation 4th of July Style

The last time we had any extended amount of time in Galveston was before we moved to Frisco!
TWO years ago! Brandon usually uses his vacation days for our annual couples vacation, but this year we did not have a tripped planned so....a beach week was long overdue and we had such a great time just relaxing by the bay.

A five hour drive took 6.5! Before we left, we all made a quick trip to the nail salon for some fun party toes.

We unpacked as quick as we could for a family golf cart ride to the beach. COVERED in seaweed still! And so stinky!

Mornings always started out with swings, hammocks, and the water slide!

Usually took the jet ski out after lunch!

Our little twin cousins came to play! Such sweet ladies!

 Ended our days with Tubing!

July 4th! Water balloons are serious work.
Miss Dylan Anne came to see us! Her parents came too!
Corbin and Carter loved the water!
"I'm a tornado!"- Carter McCoy
 Grammy loving on Reed

And on the 5th of July we headed to Tiki Island for a party and a parade with some of our friends!

On Sunday everyone left us! (But then Faith and Mark came back for a couple days.)

We stopped by Freeport to see my bff from my childhood, Tara! Together we have 7 BOYS!

We went on a family boat ride, just the 5 of us!

Hudson and Daddy took off on an adventure and found themselves chasing birds around a little island and got stuck! Whoops!

Our neighborhood has a fun pool!

This boy... he is something else. He loves the boat! The wind in his hair, the motion, the new sounds.

Mark, Jeena, and Lexie came to visit too

Ended our trip with a little hermit crab hunting! But we had to put them back this time, so they wouldn't get stinky!
(We also chased down the ice cream truck for one last treat on our last night at the bay!)

Such a fun week. Luke did not want to come home today.
He kept asking me for his own beach house.  I think he just wants to live there.
And Hudson said he was so happy to get home and see his toys again.

I'm sure come tomorrow they will be walking around here telling me they have nothing to do.

I'm now trying to figure out how to squeeze one more beach weekend into our calendar before school starts!
