Christmas!

I think I am stuck always celebrating Jesus birthday before bed on Christmas Eve. Growing up my mom always made the birthday cake... white icing with crushed peppermint all over. It was for my Aunt's birthday, but she always included Jesus too. And it was always late at night and then we would drive home and crawl in bed. So, it feels normal to sing it when it is dark outside, and pretend it is midnight. I don't know. When does everyone else do it? On Christmas day?

We had a really quiet, low key Christmas Eve just the 5 of us. We took sweets to church for all the people serving at the multiple services. We had lunch with our sweet neighbors and then headed to church at 5pm. The boys love this service because of the candles. They feel so grown up. They are so big now. It was so enjoyable to have them with us in church. A treat for all of us since they normally go to their own service.

We also left out cookies for Santa and some veggies for the Reindeer.

Christmas morning was so fun. Reed was super excited to see a new basketball goal and train set just for him. Hudson was beyond excited to realize Santa gave him just what he asked for: Thomas and the Avalanche Escape Set, and Luke was happy to see Battlebord: the battling robots. Everyone had so much fun and we just played all day.

Merry Christmas Sweet boys.
We love you so very much.
I can't wait to see how much you grow in your faith, academics, and athletics in the next year!
