We went downtown today to have a genetic screening done on the babies. They also took blood work today for gender! The ultrasound was amazing, it was projected on a flat screen and you could really see the babies. ( I highly recommend this place!)
I can already tell 'Twin A' is the bossy one. He/She was kicking 'Twin B' in the head the whole time the tech was trying to get good pictures of him/her. It was really funny watching 'Twin B' try to escape the torture but 'Twin A' would just flip and keep kicking.
So now I think 'Twin A' is a girl and 'Twin B' is a boy! (Just cause she was kicking her brother of course.) They were measuring right on track. And they showed no sign of any problems. They will send my blood work off to confirm, but everything came back normal in the ultrasound.
Their heart rates were 150 and 160.... so let the voting continue! What do you think? Now I really don't care! I am just so glad they are both healthy!
Gender confirmation says it won't be in until 7-10 business days. So now we wait. I will post once we find out!! We are so excited! (I am really ready to start shopping!)
Here are some better pictures of the babies:

ReplyDeleteEleven years ago this morning, I felt my baby kick for the first time ever (at about 16 weeks gestation). I've never needed to mark this date on a calendar or otherwise have something prompt me to remember it - it's just THERE. The specialness of each pregnancy milestone will never fade for you, even decades into the future. It's very cool that you're doing this blog, so that the babies will one day be able to share in each moment, too.
