Strangers

So, long story short.
Luke took my keys from me as I was belting him into his car seat this afternoon. He has an obsession with them too. (Keep in mind he already had the living room remote in his right hand.) And then I go to the back of the SUV and throw my 'double wide' inside. Meanwhile there are 8 cars fighting over my spot. I mean come on, I have twins give me a break.... that is what I am always saying in my head as the people look at me like I am taking forever trying to load up.
Back to my story. The second I close the back gate, I hear it.
Click.
Then Honk.
Oh no.
He did it.
I always knew this scenario could happen, but never would, right?
There I am looking in to the back window at Luke chewing on the keys laughing as he keeps clicking the lock button.
I run to wave off the 8 cars waiting for my spot... and get back to Luke. He shows me his keys and says 'this' and then throws them down.
My heart sank.
Game over.
The nicest, sweetest mom, who parked next to me gave me her cell phone to call Brandon. She called her husband, and then the wrecker. She stayed with us the whole time.  She was talking to Hudson on his side of the car, keeping him happy. Looking for the wrecker. And telling me, it happens to the best of us. Sherri, you are a lifesaver! Thank you wherever you are!
15-20 minutes later... all was better.
Lesson learned.
The hard way.
