My biggest pet peeve about having school on M-W-F this year is that almost all school holidays fall on either a Monday or a Friday... so I feel cheated of days!
But we love spending time together, so we made the most of our day off!
1st stop:
Indoor Safari Park
Thoughts: really expensive per child. I had a coupon for buy one pass, get one free... so it wasn't that bad. But no way would I have wanted to pay 30 bucks for 2 hours. I'm cheap when it comes to our outings. The place was way too hot. (Or maybe I'm just too pregnant.) And it was kinda cheezy. But whatever, they LOVED it. Train ride x 2 , Robot animal ride x2, Putt Putt, and indoor climby things.
(I don't know why these are so blurry.)
Next up:
Sadly, I have been bribing Hudson to hustle on the soccer field by paying him $1.00 a game. All he has to do is chase the ball... the whole game. And if his foot touches the ball, he gets another dollar. So, he had managed to earn 4 dollars so far and wanted to go buy something. (And because you have to do for one what you do for the other, Luke earned the same amount that Hudson did each game.) Seriously, I know, not my best parenting moment. but whatever, it worked.
They each picked 2 $1.00 cars... so they have some money left for the piggy bank. (Life lessons people.)
Home for Lunch and Naps! (However, Hudson did not nap)
So we played:
But I am terrible at building an efficient marble run. He kept trying to read the diagram and tell me where I was missing some parts. So then he quit and said, "I'll just wait for Daddy to come home." And cleaned up.
So, However, I am really good at building race tracks!
Then Luke woke up pissed off that we were playing and he was sleeping.
So we headed out for some mud/digging/fun.
Dinner.
A good game of Smash-Crash (best book ever for boys) and Cars2 role playing.
And asleep by 7:45.
Whew, and we have to do it all over again tomorrow.
Come on Wednesday! Momma has errands to run!
