Fall Soccer Kick Off

Last Saturday was our first game of the season!! And just using the word hot is an understatement. Maybe scorching, roasting, sweltering, sizzling... does that give you a better picture of just how miserable it was for 1 hour in the heat?

Reed was a trooper. He had a fan blowing on his head. He had my icy waterbottle between his legs, and he had the team squirting him in the face with their water bottle fans. (All under a giant golf umbrella.)

Hudson, didn't fare too well. He doesn't do extreme hot or extreme cold well. He played. He chased the ball, even getting some kicks in.... all while crying hot steamy tears down his face asking how many more minutes until he can sit in the shade.

Luke was a sweaty machine. I think he made at least 3 or 4 goals. He just gets right in there and keeps on going. He was very happy when it was his time to sit out.

But we won!!  It was either 9 or 11 to 3. Go Stingrays!
