First day of Transitional Kindergarten!

We started T-K today!  I could not be more thrilled about their teachers. Even though we are still the youngest in the class, there are others turning 5 this week and next as well.  So many more children closer to their age than last year.

Hudson and Luke have rooms that semi connect. We walk in the same doors but then it splits to different sides. They both said they saw each other in the bathroom and on the playground. Luke said he was so happy to see Hudson in the bathroom he waved hi!
I think this really will be good for them to get their own sense of self and for others to see them as one, not just twins.

When we got home they played so great together, no fighting or annoying one another. But they sure were hungry hungry and ready for bed tonight.

Oh and speaking of beds. We have been talking about putting them in twin beds for awhile now, but decided to cash in on some of the labor day sales... and just did it. Like ripping off a bandaid.
They both have grown so much that they just needed the space.

After school marble tunnel building!

Poor Reed, he really missed his brothers. And his day was all thrown off because we had to adjust his naps around drop off and pick up.

New beds tonight!!
And thank you for the early birthday presents (new quilts and sheets) Grammy and Papa!

And my lunch notes. I have never shared them before.
They are kind of personal to me.
I try to write out kind, thoughtful, meaningful notes rather than just "have a great day" notes.
But, I want them to remember them, while they are still requesting that I put a note in their lunches.

I even saved the ones Brandon wrote to them on the day Reed was born. It was so sweet, I asked him to remember to put a note in there, but you never know what Daddy will remember!

Luke and Hudson,
We love you so so much. You are both so unique and special. And it is time for you guys to spend some time apart during the day. But please never ever forget how special it is to have a twin. You guys have something so special and I hope you always will. I was so proud of you both today!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
