However, she went home with my mom, which she does every Good Friday, and was going to come back today. She woke up Saturday morning very sick and weak. My mom took her to our family vet, and he had bad news. She was bleeding into her abdominal area. They were sent to a special dog hospital where we found out she had tumors surrounding her spleen, and liver. They suspect that she also had tumors in her chest as well.
They gave us several options, but the most time it would buy us would be 3 months. I could not put Bailey through surgery and chemo for only 3 months. So we said our goodbyes and let her go. They let Brandon and I hold her and sit outside overlooking the water rather than sitting inside that little room.
She was my first dog, so I had no idea how hard this is. She had clearly become apart of our family.
I am not sure what I am going to do with the blog. If I should leave it or transition over to this one: http://thevansicklefamily.blogspot.com/. I don't know. I want to keep this one, but it makes me a little sad.

Saying goodbye
Lots of hugs Suz. I'm crying with and for you. I'll always love the memories of little Bailey bossing Admiral around.
