6 month check up!

We went to see Dr. B today. Luke stared intently at him the entire exam. He was trying to figure out what this funny man with glasses was trying to do to him. Luke was very calm.
Hudson decided he didn't want anyone messing with him and decided to scream/cry just for a second to make sure everyone knew who was really in charge.

The boys are healthy and doing great!

Here are their stats:  (this is mostly for me, so I can go back to the baby book one day and write it all down!!!)
Luke:
Weight: 18lbs 2.6oz  (50-75%)
Height:  27 3/4 inches   (75-90%)
Head:  17inches (25-50)

Hudson:
Weight:  17lbs 7.9oz  (50%)
Height:  27 1/4 inches (75%)
Head:  17.5 inches (50-75%)

Here are two pictures from my phone as the boys were waiting for their shots! They both can sit up very well now!

Well, it took nearly 6 months, but the boys sleep from 7:30 to 7:30. For over the last month they were waking  up around 6, so we got them up and fed them, played with them, but then they were tired again and went right back down for a nap until 8ish. So this week when they started crying, I FINALLY did what Dr. B told us at 4 months. I turned off the monitor! They were fine, I got over it very quickly, and now there is no need for that early morning nap!!!

Our routine is pretty much the same. We eat, play, sleep, all day long.  They eat 5 bottles a day, and now eat solids twice a day. But Dr. B said we need to start working our way up to 3 times a day.  They take 4 naps a day. Two of the naps are about 2 hours long, the other 2 are anywhere from 45-60mins. I still get out of the house at least once a day with them. Somedays it doesn't happen but we fill it with visitors and long walks. People love to stop me and tell me how brave I am for going places with twins... but I mean, do they expect me to stay home all day and never get out??? We would all go crazy. We try to go to the park and swing everyday, but if we don't make it to the park, then we at least will take Bailey for a quick walk.

The boys love to look at each other an laugh now. Not just a little laugh, but one where your cheeks hurt so much from laughing so hard. They really are getting SO cute!

Hudson can have a serious side... sometimes!
I think Luke's goal in life right now is to get all 4 of Sophie's legs in his mouth at one time!
Don't mess with H'dog when he has his Sophie!

Can you tell they are obsessed with Sophie? I promise... every kid needs one!

  1. I can't wait to hear them laugh! I like reading your schedules...it helps me to know what I'm doing. Ha ha!

Sophie seems to be very popular, but I think she needs a new name. Maybe like George or Jeffry. Just a thought! :)
