Last year, the boys wrote me a very sweet card and talked about how much they wanted to meet me, and how sorry they were for killing my ribs.
This year, my first mother's day, was really sweet. I now get it. I get why my mom loves us no matter what, why she is willing to drop everything anytime we need her, why she still has the best advice, and why she is only as happy as her saddest child. (when we hurt, she hurts; is my point)
I totally get it. I love Luke and Hudson more than I thought what was humanly possible.
The day I really became a mom! And we became a family.
4 months old
Luke:I love his smiles and belly laughs. I feel like I really earned them.
I love when he tries to throw tantrums, and how I can see them coming before he does.
I love how he lets me hold him anytime for no reason, no questions asked.
I love how everything he touches goes straight to his mouth.
I love how he laughs at Hudson and just waits for him to glance in his direction.
I love that he steals toys and feels no guilt.
I love that he constantly leaves his mouth open waiting for more food.
I love that when he is done with his bottle he bats it away like no other.
I love that he is still so in love with his apple on the Exersaucer.
I love how much he loves his rubby ducky at bath time.
Video disclaimer: I apologize now if anyone is offended by baby booty.(times 2) double click to make window big enough to see Luke in the corner.
Hudson:
I love the little dance Hudson does in the morning or when I go to get him from naps. We call it "King Konging it" or "waving your pom poms".
I love how changing diapers now is like calf wrestling. I feel like I should get a score at the end.
I love how he is a Paci Addict. (See video below)
I love that he makes his eyes bug out in pictures. He has the best facial expressions.
I love how he has learned to give open mouth kisses all over my legs.
I love how at every meal, he will only take a little taste at first before committing to a entire spoonful.
I love how he hops when he crawls. I am really going to miss that.
I love when he is tired, he lays his head on my chest.
I love how much he loves to read books. It will always calm him down.
I love how much he LOVES to jump. Any time, anywhere.
But, most of all, I LOVE having my family of 4. I am so lucky! Brandon, thank you for everything!
Best. Mother's. Day. Ever.
