Dallas Zoo

I had heard it wasn't very good. But we wanted to check it out anyways. It was fine. Smaller than Houston, but just the right size for our attention span these days. It was fine and we all liked it!

 The inside exhibits are also my favorites.

 The boys really enjoyed the tortoises. (So did we.)

 And some elephants, they were hot too.

 They have a monorail that tours the African section of the zoo. Well worth the wait. Nice to get out of the sun for a bit and see some animals.

Dallas Zoo Tips:
Arrive when it opens.
Bring your wagon.
Lots of water and snacks.
Pretty much the standard... but we were shocked to see all the people getting there at 1pm when we were leaving. We were about to have heat stroke.
