Piggy High and Piggy Low

Yesterday I introduced a piggy bank to Luke while Hudson was still napping. He saw a piggy bank on Curious George and would talk about it from time to time. Well, while unpacking an empty room, I found his old piggy bank from his nursery.
(Btw... great fine motor work, and one to one correspondence work, not to mention the whole family laid on our tummies and looked at coins and tried to find old ones. It was fun.)
Anyways, we filled it up with all of Daddy's change from his dresser. Then we were on the hunt for more change. Once we ran out, he started naming all the people he was going to ask for their coins. He wanted more.
He went to bed talking about it, work up asking for more money for it. So we got all the coins from my car and filled it up.
We even took pictures with it today...

However,  Hudson did not nap today. And when Daddy got home, he really wanted to show Daddy how full his piggy was, and tried to carry it to him, while saying, "I am going to tell Daddy how much I love this pig."

AND HE DROPPED IT!
I feel like Piggy knows he is headed to certain doom
.

Luke was so sad.
Hudson was more sad.
Daddy said no more piggy banks.
Mommy said its okay, we can get a new one.

RIP Piggy

  1. Aww, such a sad post. Poor guy. All that work he put into it. Breaks my heart.

A new piggy bank is a must! Ha!

  2. OH NO! We LOVE Piggy, Trader 'feeds' piggy all of the 'treasures' he finds around the house. I had to introduce this to keep him from putting change in his mouth :) Works like a charm. I keep it up on a shelf in the laundry room, and whenever Trader finds a Treasure, we go feed piggy.
