I picked Bailey up today and she appears much stronger and happier. She was on an IV for the last 3 days and it worked kind of like dialysis does. It flushed out her kidneys and the blood work came back with better numbers yesterday. We don't know how much permanent kidney damage she has yet.
She has to be on a special diet for kidney disease the rest of her life. (She will surely hate that soon-- as Bailey has a love for all kinds of food!)
Right now she is on the back porch basking in the sun, so hopefully when the vet calls today he will have some more positive news. Thank you so much for all the kind emails and well wishes on Facebook, I was so scared they were going to tell me that I was going to have to put her down this week.
